tv series

                                           THE BIG BANG THEORY

This is my favourite tv series. When I watched it once,I loved it very very much.I claim everybody will love it if they watch it once like me.This tv series has much more different sense of humour than other tv series. The characters'jokes are both funny and meaning.Whenever I watch it,I have fit of laughter.
When I look at the characters, they are wonderful. The tv series is interested in not only three characters but also the other characters. The whole characters are adding colors to tv series.Every character is very funny and has distinctive characteristics.I like all characters but my favourite character is Sheldon. He is genius in field of pysics but a crazy man.He is obsessive about every topic and he can has made eveything he wants. The one character who can put up with Sheldon is Lenord. He is lucky about neither housemate nor    girlfriend. However,he is the person who have the most girlfriend among them.Penny is next-door neighbor.Neither her working life nor her love life goes well.Howard is person who not only is unlucky about girls  but also lives his mother.I like his mother's shouting at him.''ohh, howard, where is my artificial teeth?''It is really funny.Raj is Haward' best friend or according to other people it is another thing.:)He is very shy.He just talks to girls when he is drunk.
It is necessary to congratulate scriptwriter of this tv series. The characters are both colorful and extraordinary.I exaggerate very much or this tv series is really perfect.Watch it and decide that which one it is.I am sure my thoughts.

                                                   HORROR FİLMS

I like horror films and when I want to watch a film,I usually prefer horror films. When I look for horror films among the films,I can not find many horror films or when I find some horror films,I can not find a good one.I choose one film or two films for they look like good but when I watch them, I am dissappointed. They are not good films. This come to my head very often.I can not come across good horror films any longer.Nowadays, horror films resemble each other. When a good horror film come out, immediately, horror films which look like that come out.Really, there are few horror films which I am afraid of nowadays.

Formerly, there were a lot of horror films. When I went to movie shop to choose a horror film, there were many films. All horror films I watched were good. They were qualified films.I was really afraid when I watched them.Namely, they were appropriate to their names.

Yes,now there are qualified horror films but I think they are few.I can not get the taste I found while   I was watching.Henceforwards,They must make horror films very well. They must not come out them as soon as they make them. They must really evaluate if they are qualified films or not before audiences watch them.Shortly,I want to watch good horror films and this must be very often.

                                           ŞEBNEM FERAH FOR ME

Şebnem Ferah is my dream's artist.I like rock music and she is really queen of rock music. There are many artists of rock musıc in Turkey but Şebnem Ferah is one of few people who do their work ideally. She really deserve much praise. There are a lot of things which are said about her.She is a proven performer.

When we come music which she is making, firsly she has very beautiful voice. Her voice is very strong. She remove her voice the upper levels.I am fond of her voice, particularly when she sing by shouting.I feel being strong of her voice at that time. She influences me profoundly with smoothness of her voice.

Her songs are perfect. She is the only person whose all songs I have liked. There are a lot of reasons for this. She writes lyrics of her songs herself and writes perfectly. They are meaningful and emotionally charged. The most beautiful thing is that her all songs are so.While she is singing a song, she makes us feel things which she wants to tell us.We get that feeling and to do this is a very hard thing for singers.

I have a good time when I am at her concert. She performances well.A lot of people come to the concert and they fill the concert area.I caim that there are nobody who does not like her.Everbody likes her somehow. She is an artist who will never be forgotten in the future.

                                      ''I BRAIN METU''

This slogan for metu is perfect.I loved it when I heard it at first. It sounds interesting and nice.Really this slogan hides many meanings under it like things which are said in this video. It is effective. There are a lot of things which will be said about metu's students. They are short but compendious. They tell everyhing shortly.

I do not look at the event in this respect only.If I wrote metu's slogan,I would say ''special people's city'' to metu.Because people in metu are really special.there are a lot of people who come from various places around the world. They are all people who are chosen. They are all separate brains. They have special skills in different areas. They have very different ideas. They are free, intelligent, responsible and also crazy people.

I said city for metu because it is like a city.It is equipped in all respects. It has campus which has everthing
in it.It is very big.It is very good for students who stay there. They do not need to go out for their any need. So,people say for metu's students ''They are not from Ankara ,they are from metu''.Metu is quite another place from Ankara. Here, because of this reasons,I think metu is special people's city.

                                            UNIVERSITY FOR ME

University for me must be complete with everything. There are a lot of things for this. For instance,I think a campus must be in a university. The areas in campus must be green. The buildings of university may have a meaning. They can be esthetic.

For students, there must be laptops, proper dormitories, many laboratories, internet,a very good library. The students must be able to attain everything they want.University must provide various facilities for students. They must make transport easy. The food costs must be low for students. The students must be provided various scholarships.

There must be academics who have time for students, have fame around the world.Teaching staffs must be evaluated by students. The teaching staffs whose communication is bad must not give a lecture.

The students must be given work at various projects.University must work actively  after the students graduate from there.

The Middle East Technical University  have many of these characteristics. The areas are green but I have not liked the buildings. There are a lot of things for students but I think they must be developed a bit.I do not like some dormitories. Some of them are inadequate. All dormitories are not equal. The rooms in some of them are too narrow. There are not laboratories in some of them. The wardrobes and beds are old.

I liked the library because it is really very big. There are many books in every field. The transport is not good because I can not find minibus every time.Additionally, everything in the university is expensive for students. For the time being, the rest looks good.

                                 BEİNG A STUDENT AT METU

Before I came here,METU,I had thought Metu was a wonderful university.I used to want to win metu excessively.Because it was said a lot of things about metu,I liked it.I thought a lot of  things would change in my life when I won metu. That was not only why I wanted to win metu but it was also ankara.I had never been in Ankara.I had not seen Ankara before but I liked it.I wondered it very much.It sounds very strange but it was.

Now  I am at metu.I think metu is not like I have tought at first. For the time being,I do not like metu like first thought.I say I wish I did not come here.Nothing is not like thing I am waiting.Everything is very hard here. There are reasons for this.First,I did not like Ankara. It has a very strange weather. It is hot during the day, it is too cold in the evening.Actually I like winter,I like snow but I think it will be extremely here. Then, this city is far away my city,Salihli.I miss my family very much.I stay at dormitory but it is far away everywhere. There are not the minibuses at sometimes when I go out the school. So I have to walk everywhere I want to go.Actually,I regret for I choose this departmant because I feel as if this departmant does not belong to me.I am not happy. The most fundemental matter is this.

On the other hand,I try to like here.I try to get accustomed to metu because I won a good universty. When I graduated from metu I hope I will have a good job.The most wanted thing by my family is this so I have to do for my future. If I had not my friends,it would be worse. At least,we are doing something together in order to pass time and have fun.

       Combating cancer’s conversations

Cancer(subject) is usually presented as a problem(singular noun) of cells becoming mindless(adj)  replicators, proliferating without purpose or restraint. But that image underestimates the foe(direct object), according to a new paper. The authors(subject) argue that we(personal pronoun)’ll stand a better chance of combating cancer if we recognise that tumour cells are(linking verb) a lot smarter and functional like a co-operating community.

One of the authors, physicist Eshel Ben-Jacob(proper noun) of Tel Aviv University in Israel, has argued for some time that many single-celled(adj) organisms, whether they are tumour cells or gut bacteria(plural noun), show(transitive verb) a rudimentary(adj) form of social intelligence – an ability to act collectively in ways that adapt to the prevailing conditions, learn from experience and solve problems, all with the “aim” of improving their chances of survival. He even believes(intransitive verb) there is evidence that they can modify their own genomes(direct object) in beneficial ways(adverb of manner).

Some of these ideas are controversial, but others(indefinite pronoun) are undeniable. One of the classic examples of a single-celled co-operator, the soil-dwelling slime mould Dictyostelium discoideum, survives a lack of warmth or moisture by sending out pulses of a chemical from cells, which(relative pronoun) attracts other cells to move towards them and clump together into multi-celled bodies that look like weird mushrooms(plural noun). Some of these cells become spores, entering into a kind of suspended animation(participial phrase) until conditions improve.

Many bacteria(subject) can engage in similar feats of communication and coordination, which can produce(action verb) complex colony shapes such as vortex-like circulating blobs or exotic branching patterns. These displays of “social intelligence” help the colonies survive adversity, sometimes to our cost. Biofilms, for example – robust, slimy surface coatings that harbour bacteria and can spread infection in hospitals(place adverb) – are manufactured through the co-operation of several different species.

But as cyberwarfare experts know, disrupting communications(gerund phrase) can be deadly, and the same social intelligence that helps bacteria thrive(dependent clause) can be manipulated to attack pathogenic varieties(independent clause). Some strategies for tackling dangerous bacteria now(time adverb) target their cell-to-cell communications, for example by introducing false signals that might induce cells to eat one another or to dissolve biofilms. So it pays to know what they’re saying to one another(indefinite pronoun).

Ben-Jacob(proper noun), along with Donald Coffey of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore and “biological physicist” Herbert Levine of Rice University in Houston, Texas, think(state verb) that we should be approaching cancer therapy this way too: not by aiming to kill off tumour cells with lethal doses of poisons or radiation(comman noun), but by interrupting their conversations.
